data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>I am tenured Assistant Professor (Profesor Contratado Doctor) at the Physics Department of Universidad de Murcia (Spain) and an experienced researcher specialised in the theory and computer simulation of the interaction and effects of beams of ions and electrons with condensed matter and molecular systems, for applications which include biophysics, materials science, physical chemistry and nanotechnology. My main interests are on the interaction of swift charged particles (ion and electron beams) with condensed-phase biological materials used for radiotherapy applications. I have experience on the theoretical calculation of cross sections for charged-particle electronic interaction with condensed matter, and its implementation in Monte Carlo radiation transport simulation codes, as well as with the exploitation of results from ab initio and molecular dynamics simulations.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element
